As Director, Strategic Partnerships, you will be responsible for sourcing, closing and managing relationships with companies who are best positioned to leverage and/or enhance our data and capabilities. This is an exciting "greenfield" role, as we have just begun to pursue partnerships in the past few months and are seeing very strong demand, given our unique data asset. This position is based in at our CO HQ, though we may consider remote candidates who are truly exceptional.
Responsibilities include:
- Conduct internal and external research to map out our "partner space"
- Filter opportunities based on value creation and fit
- Pursue partnerships in a strategic (as opposed to purely opportunistic) manner
- Leverage our executive team, as appropriate source and close deals in support of strategic objectives
- Manage partner relationships up to the "C-Level"
- Work closely with Sales, Product Management, Operations, Analytics and IT, and manage cross-functionally in support of partnership objectives
- Handle internal and external potential channel conflicts diplomatically and strategically
- Establish and manage to revenue and profitability objectives for partnerships
- Be 100% accountable for the success of the partnerships
- Note: There may be the opportunity to build a team, as the business need is established
Skills and Qualifications
- 10 years experience in outbound roles
- Track record of excellence
- Strategic and analytical orientation
- Proven ability to drive business value through strategic deal-making
- Contract negotiation skills
- Experience in data/analytics business a plus
- Experience in consumer/retail industry a plus
- Top-Tier MBA desirable
