Account Manager/Bus Dev or Client Services - Behavioral Targeting Company - Westminster, CO

My client is a leading behavioral targeting company headquartered in Westminster, CO, less than 30 minutes from both Boulder and Denver. They have one of the world’s largest databases of consumer purchasing behavior, numbering over 6 billion records. Description

The Account Manager works with premier catalog and retail companies to manage existing client relationships, evaluate client needs, recommend products and conduct assessments of client direct marketing results. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with clients and learning the specifics of their mail plans, circulation goals and performance measures. You will use that information to build targeted recommendations using proprietary modeling methodology to mine our 100MM name database. Account Managers make regular visits to clients nationally to deliver product presentations.

Qualifications

We are searching for ambitious, entrepreneurial individuals with strong skills in customer service, consultative selling, and financial planning and analysis. Direct or interactive marketing experience is required. Key qualifications include:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in marketing services sales, preferably direct marketing databases
  • Ability to evaluate direct marketing campaigns, analyze reports, evaluate sales trends and recommend products to improve client sales performance
  • Solid knowledge of large databases, database reporting, and marketing analytics
  • Proven track record of successful and increasing sales to direct marketers, preferably catalogue retailers. Ability to identify new opportunities and close new business.
  • Good “boardroom presence”; proven abilities to establish relationships with senior client decision makers and successfully negotiate with them.
  • Able to travel 60%
  • BS or BA degree; MBA a plus
